Hello! Allow me introduce myself

I’m Amanda, the founder, tailor and "all the things" at Rosebud Studio. A passion project developed through 20+ years of sewing experience and 10 years of witnessing the transformative powers of alterations.

I have spent many years working within various facets of the fashion industry and studying fashion design through full time programs as well as short courses abroad. Professionally, I have worked internationally, gaining experience and refining my technical skills along the way. My unique point of view aligns perfectly within the alterations industry when working with a variety of body types and shapes. Allowing those I work with to see the potential in their own garments and feel at home in the clothing they already own.

The tailor/client relationship is very important to me, and has informed my studies within Toronto Metropolitan University’s Masters in Fashion program. Here I aim to explore empathic practices in the tailor/client relationship to nurture the ever-evolving relationship that I have with clients.
