As a vintage suiting enthusiast, I have been collecting beautifully constructed garments to feature in my upcoming capsule collection. These garments are predominately blazers and trousers that have great 'bones' but need some revamping. The Fashion Market has been a great way to sell some of the garments that haven't been touched and are in need of a new [loving] home.
Working together with my best friend and fellow fashion industry professional Lora Osborne (Vintage by Lora) we have been setting up a booth in both the Innisfil and Aurora markets for people to come by and shop. Entering our booth is like shopping retail, decorated with salable items such as vintage luggage, jewelry, plants, and most importantly lots of clothing with a range of sizes. We showcase both men's and women's clothing in sizes XS-XXL and opt to categorize them by size and colour for an efficient + pleasant shopping experience.
The ambiance of the Fashion Market is bright and airy, with lots of space to walk around and shop. A plethora of businesses reside within the market such as vintage housewares, up-cycled vintage clothing, a florist and vintage trailers housing some excellent clothing and accessories. Included in the market are those selling items directly from their own wardrobes. Independent sellers make up a sizeable portion of the market, allowing shoppers to find a variety of styles and sizes to fit their personal tastes.
Stop by both Innisfil and Aurora markets to experience the local fashion scene and shop from some talented vendors. I'll be there to help you select some amazing vintage pieces, answer questions about tailoring or alterations and have a good time in the sun.
See you there!
